Happy Birthday Paul McCartney!

We’re a day early with it, but we simply couldn’t contain our excitement anymore. Being part of the great rock and roll culture of Woodstock, NY really leaves you with a great appreciation for the music of the 1960s. Now, the Beatles may not have performed at Woodstock, but they certainly left their mark on the culture of the decade. Tomorrow is Paul McCartney’s 69th birthday! He’s still going strong and looking great (really, really great). According to Guinness, Paul is actually the most commercially successful songwriter in the history of popular music. That’s no small feat—and it only serves to speak to his influence on the culture of the 1960s and beyond.

Paul is getting ready to get married again, it seems. He’s been dating a lovely woman named Nancy Shevell since late 2007. Their engagement was reported in May of this year.

We’re sitting around getting some early Paul McCartney appreciation in today—and we’re sure the celebration will last all weekend! Sip your coffee out of a Beatles mug, listen to some of your favorite Beatles hits, and wish Paul a happy 69th!
